Tax Compliance:

First-time applicants: Confirm HMRC guidance and register if granted a licence.

Current/recent licence holders: Complete HMRC tax check.
Good Character: Enhanced DBS check through TfL’s authorised provider.
Eligibility
Must be 21 or over (no upper age limit).
Hold a full DVLA, NI, or EEA licence for at least 3 years.
Have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (TfL’s provider).
DVLA Group 2 medical exam with full records.
DBS & Overseas Checks
DBS Update Service: Must register before licence is granted; maintain continuous subscription.
Overseas Criminal Checks:

Anyone outside the UK for less than or equal to 3 months in last 10 years must provide a Certificate of Good Conduct.

Complete TPH/205 'Living Abroad' Form and submit.
Medical & Assessment

Medical Fitness: Meet DVLA Group 2 standards; medical exam required.

Topographical Skills: Pass TfL driver assessment centre test.
